About the SAP Project

The Sustainable Avocado Productivity (SAP) Project is a flagship 5-year initiative (2023–2027) led by Murang’a Avocado Farmers’ Cooperative Union Ltd and funded by We Effect. Its core mission is to improve the livelihoods of over 3,000 smallholder avocado farmers in Murang’a County through productivity, value addition, gender inclusion, and sustainability.

Overall Goal

To contribute to improved livelihoods for women, men, and youth within the avocado value chain in Murang’a.

Specific Objective

Increase productivity and incomes of smallholder avocado farmers by 2027.
